How A Facebook Fan Page Can Help You

Become a Facebook FanYou might be sitting there thinking, “Am I the only one who doesn’t know a thing about Facebook Fan Pages?”  The truth is, you’re not.

Despite that fact, Facebook is the largest social media website in the world.  It’s ranked as the #2 website on the web behind Google and is the most widely used website from adults to teens.  With such a broad audience to market yourself to, why haven’t you created your FaceBook Fan Page yet?

As the Internet continues to expand, Technorati estimates that 75,000 blogs are created daily, with 1.2 million new posts that often include consumer opinions on products and services.  Now, convert that to Facebook users.  Most of these website creators more than likely already use Facebook as a means to interact with their fans or people who ‘like’ their business or what they do.

Fan Pages are not a new phenomenon.  In fact, they’ve been around since 2007.  What benefit do they provide?  If you’re not web-savvy and can only afford to market yourself in the most free way possible, then  they’re much easier to maintain than your own website. Now that the world is connected by the Internet, what better way is there to connect with your customers, or even people who ‘like’ you enough to be your fan.  Facebook proved itself as a successful medium to share information, so why are you not using it yet?

Facebook Can Boost Your Business

While Facebook touts 800 million active daily visitors, many businesses are still not using Facebook to stay in touch with their customers, or even the world they live in.  While the older school of thought is that there is no better way to promote your business than face-to-face, that still holds true.  But the reality to this point is you can’t meet every single customer or potential client face to face.  The reach you could provide your business for hardly any cost is an astounding opportunity to pass up.

Facebook

Facebook certainly can boost your business with a fan page.  Not only do your fans get connected with what you update them about, but it makes announcements, specials or even coupons even easier to push out to your mass-following.  The truth is, people like being a part of a group whether it be a local eatery, apartment complex or salon.  By offering a Fan Page to your followers or prospective clients, you’re essentially opening the door just a bit wider.

Why A Facebook Fan Page?

You now know Facebook Fan Pages are a forum for your followers, stalkers or just people who plain ol’ like your business or what you do.  Compared to Twitter, Fan Pages are much easier to maintain.  You no longer have to follow etiquette of following someone back, reply to every message or impress your followers.  They’re there for you and for what you offer.  Go ahead, offer a ‘buy one, get one’ for people who like your page.  Limit your visibility to only those who ‘Like’ your page, leading to more mystique and in the end more followers (also known as “fangating”).

There are no reasons why not to create a Facebook Fan Page, yet there are a thousand reasons you should!
